Gracie and Ellie

This picture is on here twice I know, but I wanted to post a pic of how beautiful her long blond hair is (she has the plaid coat on). She has been asking to donate her hair to "locks for love" so as hard as it is we will be cutting her hair after Christmas and it will be close to chin length. She has a precious heart to want to give to another child who has lost their hair and I know I am being selfish by wanting her to keep it long. She has made the statement several times "Mommy it will grow back". She can be such a little stinker but she does and says the kindest, sweetest and caring things so often that I feel like she teaches me lessons daily. We love you to pieces Gracie.
This little goof ball is up and into everything! This picture cracks me up and I can't help but think of how much she can brighten someones day or totally blow them away. She has us all cracking up daily. By the way this is her thumbs up to represent that she has had a good dentist appointment!

These two absolutely love to help their Daddy. We had just gotten our baby beds and they wanted to do nothing but be a part of the assembly and what a help they were.
These two are incredibly sweet girls and I feel so overwhelmingly blessed to be their Mother. There are so many days that I feel unworthy of the task that I have been given but they hug me, they say I love you Mommy and they are so forgiving for the times that I have not been the best Mommy that I could have been. Thank you God for my sweet girls.

Twins approaching 31 weeks - WOW!!!!

Unfortunately I have no ultra sound pics or belly pics this time around. One reason, our camera gave out and the second being that we have not gotten any recent pics from our doctors. So the update will be purely composed. I will have pics soon though b/c we got a new camera and I am now seeing the doctor weekly! I have to say having two babies in my belly feels like a dozen at this point and I can not grasp having more than two - EVER. My body is healthy, Jett and Ruby are healthy, but boy I am wore out. This time around has been exhausting and quite uncomfortable at times, but in the grand scheme of it all I feel so blessed that three of us have made it this far and are doing so well! Our last appointment was this past Tuesday and we found that Jett has flipped and they are both now head down and on track for a normal delivery - YEA!!!! It was a great appointment in every aspect. Our OB said - as kindly as he could as long as he is happy it doesn't really matter how uncomfortable I am. Which I feel is very true, I am on the home stretch and can hardly wait to meet these precious little babies that we already love so much. As far as being ready I have to say that I am the most unorganized I have ever felt. Greg has picked up an extra load n top of his daily work by doing several things around here to make thinsg easier - thank you very much Buddy. Thanks to my sweet Mom, she has come over several times to get me headed in the right direction of getting the room done and getting things put up, away, washed and ready to go! Physically it is getting a little more trying to do all of the things that are required for preparing to bring home a baby - let alone two! So thank you a ton Greg and Mom! We have had two baby showers from wonderfully sweet friends and in all have received over 3,176 diapers - woooo-hoooo!!! We figure that may last around 41/2 months - maybe! Greg and I's parents have blessed us with beds and a dresser for the babies room (pics to come). We still need to pick up several things but I feel like each day we are more prepared! Thank you to those of you who have been praying for us we feel so blessed by so many wonderful people in our lives who have been so gracious and giving - please keep the prayers coming for continued good heath and healthy babies in about 6 to 7 weeks!

Ringing in Christams with the "Rockettes"!!!!!

The Sunday following Thanksgiving we joined some good friends and took the girls to lunch downtown and then to see the "Rockettes Christmas Spectacular"! The girls had such a great, but I have two say the two Dad's of the group I caught nodding off a few times during the show. Which is ok, considering it was a Sunday afternoon and it was a show of dancing. We all know that they would have enjoyed watching football in the comfort of their own home, but it sure was sweet for them to accompany all of the women in their lives and join us!

Happy 60th Dad!

On November 16th we celebrated, in surprise fashion - My Dad's 60th birthday! My Mom arranged a party for him at one of his favorite spots "Freddy's", known for their hamburgers, fries and custard. He was very surprised and I am sure he will always look back on that day as being a lot of fun! I more often here people dread the older they get but I see many wonderful and neat things about getting older, therefore I have a different outlook. My Dad for example, is a better Dad each day and that is hard to beat because he has been great as far back as I can remember. My Dad and Mom's relationship with one another is real and genuine, one to be admired so much that you wish for many qualities of it, in your own marriage. I really feel like the saying "it gets better with age" rings very true. Happy Birthday to an incredibly giving, compassionate and caring man and Father - Love you lots Dad.

Jett and Ruby news!!!

Side view of Jett. He has his right hand up and his right leg curled up towards his belly! Cute little guy.
Front view of Ruby. She has her head leaning to the left side of her body and her hands are together to the right side of her face. Sweet little lady already!

So, Dr. Stark our Perinatologist said that everything looks great and gave a great report to my ob. He measures the head circumference, femur, spine and belly. All four on each looked great and were very comparable in size, which is the main component of looking to make sure both babes are comparable in development. Ruby is estimating 1 lb 7oz. and Jett is 1lb 8oz. - give or take 3 oz. They were both wiggling all around. Ruby kept opening her mouth and swallowing - which the Doc said was also a very good thing b/c it shows that she is able to swallow well and had fluid in her belly from doing so. Jett had the fluid too, but I guess he didn't want to show off like Ruby. We will go again to the Perinatologist on Dec. 7th! I will go to my ob the week of Thanksgiving.

Going on 24 weeks!

I don't exactly love to put individual pictures of myself on our blog, but several have asked to see "belly" pictures. I know I will enjoy looking back at these as well! I had my six year old photographer snap a few shots. All is going well with the pregnancy, and I actually feel pretty good aside from being uncomfortable - but I think being uncomfortable comes with the territory I am in! We visited the Perinatolgist, yesterday, and the twins look great! Ruby has actually flipped, but Jett remains breeched. It's like they are in position right now to kick eachother in the head. They are quite active, and as a matter of fact, threy kept me awake for a good portion of the night last night. I think they were just preparing me for what is to come! At 3:30am you can be pretty productive though - I did get on-line and make a list of all of our needs and where the best place to go would be for each of them. I looked at several consumer reports and narrowed down bottles, double stroller car seat frames, breast pumps and several other items. I feel like I am making way! Greg is just about done emptying out the study, which will become the kids room. So, we will be able to get that finished up before to long as well! He has been a true gem helping in every way possible - He is pretty excited, of course!

Trick or Treat!

Gracie decided on a witch this year but described herself as a "nice" witch. The morning she was allowed to wear her costume to school she thought she should probably not brush her teeth b/c witches apparently have bad breath. I explained to her that since she was a "nice" witch she better go ahead and brush them or she may not be considered a "nice" witch anymore. She agreed and even decided to go ahead and use extra mouth wash too. Ellie decided on an elephant. Of all years to pick the warmest costume she could find, it ended up that she hardly made it through any of the events still waering it cause she was so hot! Last year we had almost a foot of snow on the ground and this year it was 70. She still made the cutest elephant I have ever seen.

The whole gang about to hit the road with the Dads.
The Mom's are staying put to hand out candy and sit by the heater!!

Gracie's last game of Fall 2010 season

Can't wait to get her hands on that trophy!!
Way to go Trouble Makers! These girls had an incredible season! If this were Greg writing on the blog he could probably write a whole novel of how incredibly talented Gracie and the rest of her team mates are - down to every last detail. Since it is me, I will say the Trouble Makers are definetly worthy of buying season tickets for! Of course, I am biased but it's not often that you get to see 1st graders go head to head with second and third graders and totally dominate. Not only did they dominate, they looked so incredibly great doing it! Greg and the other coaches do and awesome job and always keep the girls so excited about soccer. It is going to be so fun to see where these girls take themselves in the future!

Ellie's Last soccer game for Fall 2010

Ellie started the game strong and excited! She declined rapidly though and ended the last 2 minutes of the game puking on the side line. She was so determined to be there for her game and team mates but the bug she caught got the best of her. That night she ran close to 104 fever, but was feeling quite peppy by the next afternoon.

Its a BOY and a GIRL!!

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a BOY and a GIRL! Ellie not only prayed for twins but knew all along that it was one of each as well. If anyone has anything they need, let us know and we will tell Ellie to be praying about it! We could not believe it when the doctor told us the gender of the frist - which was the boy. He said "You see that kick-stand right there that definetly means you have a boy." The little sweet pea girl is the lowest, so that means she will be the "Big Sister" of the two. The doctor was so great, kind, funny and informative. It was such a great appointment and we left feeling relief in knowing that so far everything is going really well! The doctor was asking about how many kids we already had and their genders and he said wow this boy is going to be thinking "Great what the heck am I going to do with all of these girls"! Can't you just imagine the slack that all of his sisters are going to give him when he brings home his first girlfriend!!! Needless to say I have laid awake the past two nights with my mind spinning of nursery ideas, storage space, nursing two babies and then burping them, names and just sanity in general. God has blessed us so tremendously and we could not be any more excited and nervous at the same time! You may be thinking my how Jaime is growing and "yes" that is a very true thought. I am 19 1/2 weeks and growing strong I can't even imagine what I will be towards the end. I feel like this is me being pregnant for the first time just b/c it is so different this time with 2! The doctor did say that he will not let his patients go past 38 weeks, so the way I see it I am more than half way there. Just by a little, but the time is flying!

Toothless grin

It's amazing how different children look when they lose their teeth. Gracie pulled out one of her front teeth on a Saturday night and then let the other front tooth hang like Nanny McPhee untill she pulled the other one out on school at Monday. So far, she has pulled out all 5 teeth that she has lost - I can't believe that! She is looking so grown up these day and is an absolute sweetheart untill you catch her at a tired moment and she turns into a bear. She cracked us up the other day and we will always remember this story b/c of how innocent and funny it was. We were driving out to her soccer game and she was listening to a girl on the radio talking about her illegal drug use (no we don't typically listen to people talk about drug use :0) ). The girl went on to say how she had started using meth at the age of 11 and the affects that it had taken on her life. Gracie was in disbelief listening to this girl and I turned around and asked what was wrong cause she kept making this noise like she just couldn't believe what the girl was saying. Gracie responded with "She didn't start Math till age 11, I started math when I was like 4". Ha.
